Signal Resolution: The OSSC plug in can accept 240p, 480i, 288p, 576i, for PAL sources for conversion to 480p/576p SCART or component outputs (480p for NTSC and 576p for PAL). For example, 240p signals are properly supported, allowing full progressive double line to 480p. 480i signals are deinterlaced and doubled to 480p.
Compatibility: The great feature of the OSSC add on board is that it outputs a true 480p 60hz or 576p 50hz signal, compatible with retro games. This device is an excellent help for streamers looking for the highest compatibility possible. The output resolution of this device is only up to 480p, 576p.
Pass Through Mode: The OSSC add on board is placed in pass through mode (1x mode), the incoming composite or S video signal is simply transparent and converted to RBGS, YPBPR (output via SCART, Component interface). The perfect transcoder for use with 15 kHz displays like PVM or OSSC.
Glabrate Mode: Glabrate mode is purely based on preference, as the average retro gamer prefers glabrate mode for 2D games (for Genesis, etc.) and flat mode for 3D games (for N64, for Saturn, etc.). However, glabrate mode may help reduce flickering in some 480i only games.
Regional Compatibility: The OSSC add on board has low latency, supports NTSC and PAL signals, but cannot convert each other. This means that you can plug in any signal that the target device is compatible with, but NTSC signals may not work with PAL devices and the reverse is also true.
